Hong Cha, South Korea’s exquisite interpretation of black tea, is produced in small batches from handpicked summer leaves. This premium tea undergoes an oxidation process that deepens its color and develops its rich, complex flavor. Grown on a sustainable farm in Boesong, Hong Cha embodies a unique terroir influenced by misty mountains and ancient tea trees. The result is a smooth, full-bodied tea with layered notes of dark fruit, cocoa, and warm spices.

Rich, and floral, with notes of ripe plums, cacao, and a hint of spice.

Brewing Instructions:

Metric:

  • Bring filtered water to 90–95°C

  • Add 4 grams of tea to 0.5 liters of water

  • Brew for 3–5 minutes. Adjust time or quantity for preferred strength.

Imperial:

  • Bring filtered water to 194–203°F

  • Add 0.14 ounces of tea to 16 ounces of water

  • Brew for 3–5 minutes. Adjust time or quantity for preferred strength.
